Bird, did you go to the other site and pick up the scarecrow pin while it's still available?

Scarecrow Pin | PI-06

I read some reviews here and they say the beads on the feet come off. One lady said the scarecrow lost it's head and she glued it back on.

Yes,

I agree. I have several items acquired over time. I was a child during the "Kennedy years" and remember vividly the events of that era. Phillip appears to be very sincere , and speaks very distinctly. He has done a wonderful and respectful job presenting Mrs. Kennedy's jewelry. I will miss him.

I agree....it was so sad. The end of an era. It really hit home watching Phillip destroy the molds. I cried too.

I think Jacque also did an excellent job and I think having her as the last host was spot on. I can only think of a few hosts that you can tell are truly genuine and Jacque is at the top of that list. I know some people don't seem to like her and while she can be a bit over the top at times, her emotion made it all the more special this time. If it had to be the final show, it could not have been better. Phillip, Jacque, Corinne.....Bravo!

OMG ... when he picked up that hammer I lost it. And the background music ... then at the end he called Corinne over ... I'm gonna start crying again.{#emotions_dlg.crying}

I don't own a lot. I have her sunglasses, a scarf, the pearls, the watch, and the one bracelet he smashed.

It doesn't look like something Jackie would wear. And, I agree with everyone else: I enjoyed Philip and his stories. I hope he returns in another capacity.

I grew up in that era and remember exactly where I was on that fateful day in Dallas.

When the Kennedys were in the White House that was the closest we ever came to having royalty. The wonderful grace, dignity and eloquence that is so missing today.

I will truly miss Mr. Katz and his wonderful stories of that time. Sort of seems like we are losing Jackie and Jack all over again. And, when he broke the molds, especially the berry pin mold, seeing him so moved almost brought me to tears. One could just tell that this line was so very dear to his heart.

Did they actually break molds on air??

I saw bits and pieces of his 2 shows, even ordered the 3-strand pearls but cancelled later.

Jamica - they actually broke the molds, with a hammer. What was especially touching about it was that Philip put on white gloves before he touched the molds. He said that people who touched the molds wore white gloves and he wanted to show the same respect for the pieces even though he was about to destroy them.

I'm surprised QVC gave precious air time to breaking molds. Did they post item number and price as each mold was smashed?

He broke the mold for the paperclip necklace when it sold out. He broke the mold for the castellani bracelet, when it sold out. He broke the mold for the berry pin somewhere near the end. Breaking the mold was not time consuming.
