I own several pieces of Tagliamonte which I bought from ShopHQ and in Italy.  The craftsmanship is unbeatable (for the real gold, not plated!) and the designs will appeal to those who love Italian history and find workmanship.  They are pricey, but well worth it.

Tagliamonte is one of my favorite brands. I like the intaglio glass. I did remake several of their pieces to make it more wearable. I am not fan of sloppy work. I had bracelet, ring, several earrings, pendant. I have two pair of earrings and bracelet. The ring I basically destroyed, and reused the gold. The pendant unfortunately I'v sold and regretted it. It was solid gold when I bought it, it is more silver and plating nowadays, and only few gold pieces offered.

Until the past few years, the only Tagliamonte pieces for sale here were either solid gold or solid sterling, with Venetian glass cameos.  They added the plated pieces recently I think.  HSN used to sell the brand also. IMHO they are worth whatever they charge.

Tagliamonte jewelry is wonderful!

I own some stunning gold Medusa earrings--truly works of art.

I even called in to Shop HQ one time and spoke with Mr. Tagliamonte.

I see that his gold is now 14 K, but it all used to be 18 K.

His plated pieces are all extremely well made.

He has a unique company, and emphasizes small production numbers.
