I don't wear earrings, but this ad popped up and I thought I would share. There have been a few posts looking for items like this.

I saw a TV ad for these this morning. I am alergic to mystery metal and these won't work for me. Also the size of posts vary so they will not work on all posts.

I bought some stainless steel ones from eBay. They are jumbo clutch-backs that are weighty and are designed to give your earring a 'lift' by putting weight towards the back of the lobe. I got a pack of 6 pairs for less than $10.

@SilleeMee The ones posted below are not hypoallergenic for those that have sensitivities. I purchased a pr. of large Honora pearl studs that had “happy backs”. If any other earrings fall forward, I just switch to those backs.
Hint: When purchasing pieced earrings, the post should
be about 1/3 down from top of earring. If it’s placed
in the middle, the earring is not weighted properly &
will tend to fall forward.

I know about those 'Happy Backs' @Shanus and, though I do not own any, they seem like they would do the job. You're right about the post placement on earrings. I hate it when they fall forward because of it. My jumbo clutch backs take care of the problem AND they are easy for my to grab and slide on to a post. My arthritic hands make it impossible to use those iddy biddy clutch backs!![]()

@SilleeMee. I’m quite conscious of the difficulty of working w/ those tiny butterfly clutches. Women w/ arthritis (I have 2 fingers that just started, but not keeping me from doing anything....yet), long nails or in my case, very short nails, just can’t grip the tiny ones.
When I purchase my backings, I get bags of 100 of only the lg. size. Those tiny ones are useless. I purchase the stainless steel ones, too.

I saw a commercial for these earring backs. Looks like they work, but they are huge!
I'd like to give those Honora earring backs a try.
