Oh my yes, men wearing black wedding bands is the new trend. They are usually palladium, tungsten, or carbon fiber.

@fthunt    Yes, it's a new metal finish that seems to be quite popular with men.  They're often titanium.

Nothing new.  It's been around for quite a few years now.  At least several years.

We got married in 2014, and my husband chose a tungsten ring. Titanium and tungsten wedding bands have been in style for a long time.

I have also seen men wear different color bands, not sure what they are made of.  I did see a man with a blue one.  I guess what ever the metal is it is durable and men prefer it.  I think its kind of cool

Being a widow I'll be sure - be sure - to avoid even rings of black.

Thanks.........................LOL

my son in law has one.....he got it as his "spare ring" for when they travel. he can keep his "good ring" at home without worry. my daughter has a similar band also so she doesnt have to travel with her "good rings."

@sunshine45 I think that's the larger trend.....And I think a black mens "spare" ring is often linked to them being super Athletic (wearing it in extreme sports, for example)... And, hence, it has become a type of status symbol.

My grandson's wedding ring is black.  Don't know what metal it is.  Son wears his gold band and I like that much better.
