Re: Alex & Ani Bangle - Beaded Bangle Issue

I was going to call them on Monday because one of my Russian gold hanging disc and the Alex and Ani disc on the back has completely tarnished. I have several of these bracelets and if they don't make it right, I'm done with them. I know they're not expensive but it's the principle that any company should stand behind their product.

Re: Alex & Ani Bangle - Beaded Bangle Issue

They are going to ask you if you followed their cleaning instructions.

Did you buy the bangle directly from them or another vender?

If they don't respond, ask for a supervisor, and/or then add a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because they will be expected to respond. Make sure you get the names of the people you speak with and include that in order complaint. This is done online. The link is above.

Hopefully, they will make it right. Good Luck!

Re: Alex & Ani Bangle - Beaded Bangle Issue

My nephew bought it for me for Mothers Day at Bloomingdales. Oh I will certainly follow through if I don't get a response. I have 3 of them in my cart at Alexi and Ani right now but I won't be buying until I get this one straightened out.

With Zeeberry.com you get at least 10% off on the A&A they have. With Zappos, you get fre shipping (and free next day shipping) with the bangles they have. Zappos is great if you have a problem.

Re: Alex & Ani Bangle - Beaded Bangle Issue

I have read posters here saying they swim in them and shower in them. According to the Ale & Ani website, that's not a good idea.

These bangles are made from recycled materials and are NOT silver or gold. I just consider them "fun" items...not anything to pass on to the grandkids. Maybe I enjoy them so much because I don't have high expectations...

From the website:

  • Always store each piece separately, especially our expandable necklaces. The best way to store your necklaces is to hang them.
  • Apply beauty products such as perfume, hairspray or deodorant before wearing your jewelry as certain chemicals in these products may damage the finish.
  • Always remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, doing household chores or using abrasive cleaners.
  • If your jewelry requires further cleaning, use a mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Rinse with clean water and pat dry. Never use jewelry cleaner on Trend pieces. Jewelry cleaners are too harsh and may contain abrasives. We recommend using a polishing cloth for Precious pieces.
  • Use a soft toothbrush to clean crystals if necessary.
  • Make sure your jewelry is completely dry before storing.
  • To avoid black markings either on your skin or the bangles, be sure to clean your bangles regularly. These markings are due to trapped oil and dirt in the metal and can be easily cleaned.
