Last night I was watching the tiny house show and the girls looking at it "found" the recycling chemical toilet in the closet - and the one explains to her friend that if you have this type of toilet you don't need to worry about being parked where there is sewage.So what does she think she will do when that toilet needs to be emptied every few days?And not only is there sewage in there but also toxic chemicals?

What "Upgraded features" do tiny homes offer? Please be specific.
Your attitude says a lot.
I've never seen a full-size tub in an R.V. If you can get one, I'm sure it would be big bucks. I'd like to build my own tiny home with a tub in it. I don't like the feel of an R.V. It doesn't feel like a home. Plus, I wouldn't be moving it around a lot, so I'd rather have something that feels like home than something that travels well.
Well, you'd be incorrect - many park model trailers have full size tubs in them.
Well, we were talking about R.V.s, and I don't want to live in something that doesn't feel like a home.

Most tiny homes have either a regular flush toilet or a composting toilet. Neither one uses toxic chemicals or needs to be emptied every few days.
I don't know why you insist on critiquing things you don't have knowledge about.

151949 camper is not really a camper. It's like a park model mobile home. Basically, a smaller home with fridge, washer and dryer. She can't tow it place to place. When I think of a camper.... I think of one that sits on top of a truck, one you use on vacation.
RV's (campers) are a huge industry, there are many different configuations. What you are talking about is a truck camper - there are also trailers & fifth wheels you tow in just about every size imaginable, park models & destination trailers like mine that can be towed but that isn't the point of them, and several different classes of motor homes.You can find RV's to fit almost any budget, and every level of luxury.
PS - I almost forgot - tent trailers - for those who like a more rustic experience - a trailer base but a tent top.Many of these now have bathrooms.
Very true. A friend of mine just bought a Class A diesel pusher motorhome with 2 bathrooms and a full size washer and dryer.

@mistriTsquirrel We once owned a camper with a recirculating toilet and it DID require chemicals or it smelled terrible and it DID have to be emptied every other day. I DO KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. You apparently do NOT. The toilet I saw on the show was a recirculating toilet - not a composting one or a residential flush one.

Hate to burst your bubble but a park model camper is indeed an RV.I have been camping in RVs my entire adult life - I know a lot about RVs. We spend a lot of time going to RV shows etc. and we have many friends who own various models of RVs.Not to mention the ones we have owned over all these years - we currently own our 5th RV - a tent camper then a small Hi Lo trailer , then a small fifth wheel then a large fifth wheel and now our destination trailer. I seriously doubt there is much YOU can tell me about camping in an RV. Esp since I have lived in one for the entire summer for 6 years now.

@151949 Great.
I won't say bad things about R.V.s if you will stop criticizing tiny homes.
Deal?

Again, most tiny homes do not have chemical toilets.
There are many different models of composting toilets, and a lot of them look like the chemical toilets you would find in a camper, but they are not the same thing. They do have to be emptied, but unless you and your mate are having b.m.'s several times a day, they do not need to be emptied every other day.
