@blackhole99 You are most likely correct. My 30 year old son told me that he doesn’t want any of mt stuff....sad because there will be no family traditions left.

@Group 5 minus 1, sounds very pretty.  Mine was a wedding gift from my parents ... a place setting for twelve.  I will never part with mine for that reason.  I still set a formal dinner table at Christmas.

It’s sad to see the beautiful sets sold for so little.  I see them for sale all the time, sometimes for less than $100.  LM

Me too.  I love my set.  When I lived in the UK with my British husband’s family we used sterling silver for every meal.  The set had been in the family for generations.

I have my mothers Reed and Barton Francis 1st. She got it in the 50's and I added to it in the 70's. I would never dream of getting rid of. HOWEVER, I have never used it. I have 4 daughters - maybe one of them will want it some day.

my mom was looking into selling hers but when she saw how little she would get she decided to make them her every day pattern. she has LUNT ELOQUENCE.....24 five piece place settings and some completer pieces.

she uses it daily and cleans them in the dishwasher.  a great way to make every day a little more special instead of waiting for holidays to use them.
