My Grandparents had a sofa and kidney bean shaped  loveseat  made from a synthetic texturized  fabric  that were bought around 1949  that was this light green colored .

It was really funny beacuse I had   a Grt Aunt who had the same sofa set in the salmon color that they bought in 1949 ,

Neither family  knew one another in 1949 and neither lived in the same state  but I sure remember  that their furniture was alike but different colors  with a funny scratchy texture !

I remember in the early 1980's when mauve and light blue was popular in furniture and home decor....the sofa's were big prints of flowers in those colors....LOL...

@happilyretiredgirl  My mother remodeled our living and dining room in the early 1980s and did it in a dusty rose and light blue.

Salmon never appealed to me.  It's amazing how "color aware" I was from the time I was quite young.

I like the salmon color and many of the other colors mentioned as 'retro' for accesories, typically in small doses.

It has a Miami Vice vibe.  I'm thinking Miami in circa 1980.

The pastel colors  green, salmon were refreshing after all the browns,  gold , orange and avacado green colors of the 1970's.

I don't mind salmon as an accent color, but the room in the OP is positively dreadful.

I have never ever seen furniture in that color, thank goodness. Cat LOL
