Re: "Less is More" Parisian Apartment Tour

When I think of Paris, I think of charming apartments.  This is just sterile, almost like a mausoleum.  I cannot imagine living there.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

This one has good bones but it is way to cold and sterile for me. For me it needs color and warmth representing romance and excitement along with adventure. If I lived in Paris I would want to bring it right into my home.

Too white, too sterile, too lifeless.

I'm all about less is more, but this is too less.  It may not be so bad if something had color.

Re: "Less is More" Parisian Apartment Tour

I've read before that some people decorate minimally so that when their guests arrive, the guests become the "decor."

If I were a guest here, I would not feel like decor, but like someone about to be sacrificed to some sort of horrific creature that was hidden in a back room.

The only thing I like in this apartment is the arched window in the living room.

The rest of it is cold and uninviting, with no color and too many stark, angular lines.  Even the bathtub is a rectangular box.  How could you relax in that?  And would you ever dare to drink a cup of coffee or a glass of (heaven forbid!) red wine?  All that pristine white.

What a waste of prime real estate in Paris.  (That dark, arched hallway gives me the creeps.)

Re: "Less is More" Parisian Apartment Tour

The first thing I noticed was that the furniture sits so low to the floor, I could never get up off the sofa. 😳  My bad knees just say no to that.

Other than that, it's way too cold and sterile for me. Not how I envision an apartment in Paris.
