Well now! The situation of why it happened, is awful, to say the least.

I find it hard to imagine all you and DD have gone through.

Getting rid of so many things you had to sort though and  leave behind, just another part of a terrible time for you.

I hope you are finding some comfort and relief at finding your lives simplified.

I also hope you will find a lovely place and create an easier life without this awful person in your life.

The worst is over now.

I look forward to seeing that you both found the best, comfortable, affordable place for your new home.

@Flatbush ----thank you for your encouraging words----lots more"stuff" has happened in the last 5 years as well--but who hasn't been thru the wringer at some point---what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right??!!

Yesterday (Thursday) I set up 3 more times to go look at apartments--and then had 3 more apt manager call and want to set up more times!! Boy, once you put any interest out there in cyber world, calls come in left and right!! So we have our Saturday all set up. Would really love to have a place nailed down this month---and have a whole month to pack--just saying that word-----gives me palpitations!!!!

Busy, busy busy...all good tho. Good you are getting so many responces. All you need is just one wonderful new place.

Can you pre pack at least a few boxes in advance so in case of quick get away, you won't be so pressed?

@Flatbush --oh yes--we are doing that right now--have a tower of empty boxes waiting for us now. and many that have never been unpacked in the garage I rent here now. Trying to make this easy??? if moving is ever easy!!

Good grief---so the 3 apts we were to see today--all canceled!!! My DD did go tour one last night tho and face timed me. Still  on the hunt!!

@Flatbush-- nope---more like dread and--- actually I do really have palpitations and they are not much fun either. But they won't kill me--a quote from the many heart drs I've seen--comforting, right??

Toured 2 more apartments yesterday ( Saturday) and both not the one--saw a condo that was  kind of, a little bit,  sort of ok, but kind of shabby and had a sunken livingroom. Some updating done and needed a good cleaningand a re paint. The corner angled shower in one of the baths shook when you open/closed the shower door. And there was a very steep incline to get to the place-- would be scary when it got icy. And was too far on the bus for DD to ride to work. The other apt was just too small. So we went to Trader Joes and the Ben Franklin which is a big craft store and came home. Got alot of walking in and had a delicious BLT sammie for lunch. So the quest continues!!!
