A bath wash with tea tree oil also helps with underarm odor.
I had a rash a few weeks ago, and couldn't use my deodorant. I used a tea tree oil bath wash in the underarm area, and I was able to forgo my deodorant!

@kittyloo...We had that problem here too. My daughter got it from me though I think. She now wears the Secret Clinical strength anti perspirant and it works for her, but I used to pre-treat the arms of her shirts with some liquid detergent and scrub for a minute or so. This seemed to help a lot.

I also used stuff from the Derm called Drysol 40 years ago almost-straight alum chloride-stung like a SOB. I think they have better things now. Anyway, it did work. My daughter has done fine with the Secret Clinical though.

I also use white vinegar, also to keep dark clothes dark. 1 cup per load.
I agree with seeking medical advice.

Aside from the sweating issue.....it sounds like she's one very lucky young lady to have you on her side.

@kittyloo Be very careful as to what you add to the wash. I would contact her doctor or a dermatologist, but I would start by adding either baking soda or white vinegar (maybe even cleaning vinegar) to the wash. You might also ask her coach for ideas of what to use.
I work out every day and was concerned about odors, even though they would be nothing like you are dealing with. I started adding some of the deodorizing crystals that are prevalent on today's market, and I ended up with a serious skin infection, which I am still dealing with, for over a year. It is now under control and pretty much gone, but you do not want her having any such issues.

White vinegar gets it out.
I have had this problem off and on with my son's clothing, and I buy big jugs of vinegar at the grocery, and I put it in the wash cycle, the shut the machine off to soak.
I use a lot. Many will tell you just a cup or so, but I really glug it in. Only think I've found that really works.
