That's a lot of yellow! If it were a softer, creamier, soothing and less glaring yellow, I think it might give the illusion of a larger room/space.

I don't mind that the built ins are the same color as the room. But that shade of yellow would be impossible for me to live with. The yellow is too dark for me.

OMG, I wasn't prepared for the blinding all-over yellow color, when I opened this thread.
If everything is going to be painted the same color, a very soft fern green might work for me but, more realistically a neutral like cream.
I wouldn't even have that vivid yellow on the walls, let alone the built-ins and woodwork. This looks like it's meant as a reading room; I couldn't focus on anything with that color surrounding me.

I love the color and love the window treatment and the furniture! Would love to see a contrasting color as well, but do love yellow-so cheerful and bright!
