I don't often see much discussion on this; maybe others are not as obsessed with metals as I am, ha.
My problem is, (and I don't really consider it a problem) I almost never met a metallic accent I didn't like. As a very young woman, I amassed a tiny collection of pewter, my ultimate favorite; received a few brass pieces and hand-me-downs from my parents; and I also love iron, bronze and copper, esp. that which has achieved a verdegris patina.
Most of my accessories are either clear, (as in glass), neutral (as in cream or dark blue ceramics) or wood or metal. Metal items like brass or silver lend sparkle, like jewelry I think, while iron and bronze bring warmth and earthiness.
Love to mix metals in my rooms. Images like this make me happy:
I like the way the last photo widens out previous ones to show even more metal mixing-- there's the black of the mirror frame, the gold, the silvery galvanized metal, the white painted metal of the lantern, and the copper!
Maybe that's too much overload for some. How much metal mixing do you do? What are your favorites.
I recently switched my three mismatched brass candlesticks from the living room to the dining room, and switched my three pewter ones into the living room. The table they are on now has my little verdegris-finished pair of birds on it-- pow. Who knew that pewter and verdegris would be such a soft, pleasing combination, but I love it.

For me I dont care for metals in my home too cold and sterile looking.

Copper and brushed nickel are my favorites!! I have a copper farm sink in my kitchen and a copper tub in the master bath. It brings in a lot of depth and warmth.

I'm kinda going nuts with anything tin. I think it's because it reminds me of a vintage time and I like anything old because of the story it tells.

I like them all maybe not Silver so much, but Bronze and Copper and Gold for sure, they are warmer and fit my decor style best.

I like silver to wear but use mostly warmer shades in my home. Although, that being said, I have brass, silver, copper, gold and even some iron around the house. I like an appropriate mixture. Sometimes it depends on the piece itself what metal or what shade makes that particular piece look best to my eye.

Of course, I don't need to say I like every single metal you all have mentioned! @sweetee2, I was forgetting about tin-- I also like its age and friendliness, have one piece of handsome "tole" from my sister...
@Kitlynn, a copper sink and tub, no less, seems to me the ultimate luxury-- how beautiful.
Forgot to mention that hammered metal, having that additional textural interest, is another favorite...

I’m not a fan of copper or brass, too shinny when new, don’t like it tarnished.
Prefer the softer look of old pewter, silver, iron, and brushed nickel in kitchen and bath.
Good we have so many choices.

p.s. to @Oznell
The decor in those photos looks harmonious to me. There's nothing glaring or inappropriately included.

I prefer brass, copper and bronze.
