I LOVE to make wreaths, and always have one on my front door. Since Michaels has reopened, I'm going to venture out in search of pics and ribbon, to make a patriotic one.😊

I love wreaths and my son would help me select them when he was young and living at home.

He does use wreaths but he creates his own so they aren’t too girly as he puts it. Here is his Christmas wreath he made.

I have wreaths on my door all year and back sliders that face the golf course, this year I decided to do a door bucket ...

I have a wreath on my front door that gets changed out for Spring/Summer, and then again for Fall and then for Christmas! I love wreaths and always have. My mom and I used to go to Craft Shows and saw some really beautiful ones. Some can be really expensive. I will have to look at Etsy. My youngest daughter loves them and uses them, but my oldest does not-she said they are dust collectors! lol!

I also like a wreath on my doors. I have quite a few especially Christmas ones. I have a forsythia one I use for spring but of course cannot find it. Found a grapevine one with a tin star in the middle I put up instead. I made a grapevine wreath from some of the million grapevines growing in the trees around here and found some artificial hydrangeas and stuck three of them on the side of the wreath and put it on the back door. Must get in the attic and try and find the other ones.

@LIG1 There is a teacher that retired not long after I did who has a ribbon wreath business through Etsy.

She is Reeces Designs.  Her designs are so creative.

Re: Wreath Question

[ Edited ]

The only time I have a wreath on my front door is for the Christmas season. I would like having one for each season, but my DH has inadvertently knocked off the Christmas wreath more than once when he enters and exits. He hates decorations on doors, and I would get aggravated if my wreaths were always on the ground. I’ve never seen anyone have so much trouble with wreaths!

We do have a grapevine wreath hanging on the brick wall of our sunroom. My mom always had some kind of floral decoration on her front door. My sister and sister in law have wreaths on their front doors.

Wreaths remain very important to my decorating but sadly I feel it might be a generational thing.  I don't think kids have any.  On front doors and porches, always cheery and welcoming.

As much as I like wreaths, I dislike the storage space they require. I have a springtime one from Valerie and a Christmas wreath with lights on it. I like all the ones that have been posted here.

Re: Wreath Question

My front door gets relentless sun and it would fade fast.

I do put them on my back door although it's very windy/breezy and one day it will take off like a frisbee, I'm sure.

There's a favorite garden boutique about a hundred miles away from here that I visit a few times a year---it's so worth it.  They make really pretty ones and they are pricey,  but I have bought several for different seasons for my family members.

I always try to match the colors of the wreath to the colors of the house.
