I like the room except I would want a different area rug and cocktail table.

I love it....the only thing I might change is the area rug but I could live with the one pictured easily.

I definitely like some of the elements-- beautiful floors, stone, lots of windows, but it misses the mark for me.  Love high ceilings, but too high in this room for me.  Feeling of "impersonality".

I actually like various browns, a lot, but here there is too much of a monotone-- needs at least some color to give life.  The mulitpaned windows up high, combined with shutters below, seem fussy.  The room seems decorated by rote, and feels cavernous and bland to me.

I love the ceiling and all of the windows, and I love neutral tones, but I still  need my pop of color somewhere. So I would add some candles and more colorful pillows on the couch and dress up the mantel of the fireplace a bit... It is a beautiful room to me!

Much to dull for me.  I am not a brown person so it's an easy pass for me.

I like this, but would add a few pops of color in pillows & accessories. Not in love with the coffee table, barrel next to the sofa, and the rings in the window.

Very nice room.  I gravitate to the neutrals now.  We've slowly been doing our house over room by room and I've mostly used neutrals.  I have the same fireplace in that picture.  I've been going on the lighter side with all my color, like taupes, but I can see by this picture I can go a little darker with some things.

This room is not for me. I should add that’ I’m not American so that may factor in.

I think you could make this room look good with its wonderful windows but the current McMansion fakery style and the artlessly placed, inexpensive and generic furniture, only detracts right now.
