I tend to agree with you @shoptilyadropagain... 'On trend' or not, I don't care for 'Asian Influence' in home decor and I never have. About the only exception to that are certain pieces of blue and white. Otherwise, I don't care for Asian motifs at all. That said, I do think this is a very nice example of Chinoiserie... I think the shape and style of the piece are lovely even if I don't much care for the way it's painted.
