It's an unusual looking line, but it is expensive IMO for what it is. I have two tea pots and the covered cake carrier, but that's it for me.

Simple answer - because it is cute!

@hopi  The one tea pot is the black check and the other is white floral market. The cake carrier has the black check bottom and the cover is black floral. I looked at the cake carrier for a year before I pulled the trigger on that one. I'm not sorry I bought it, but I have yet to use it, it sits out on the top of my tea cart, so at least it's being displayed.

I don't find it "cute" at all.  Just doesn't appeal to me.
