I'm not sure if I would call this artwork "white" or "blank". I'm assuming the idea was to keep everything black and white, but I don't like the look. It just looks strange to me to have black frames with nothing inside. Brightly colored artwork would probably be too jarring in the space. I think black and white prints of some kind would look better.

What do you think?

I would bet they have some texture, a dot in the middle or layered textured white paint.

I do not care for this look at all.  What is the purpose of  hanging blank frames.  In fact the entire area is very unappealing.

@wilma I agree with you. It is a very strange thing to do to hang pics with no prints......I really don't care for the space from what I can see. I agree though that black and white prints would have looked better!

Possibly. Tried zooming in or enlarging the photo to see details, but all I got was a blurry photo.

I agree with the poster who thought that there's probably some type of texture or design. The canvases are not pure white, so I think that could be possible. In addition, there might be an embossed representation.

Is this one of those 'made you look' art pieces? Area is clean and tidy, which I like. I need color and pattern, though. Thank you for sharing

I see no sense in this at all.
