I like the smaller one.

I was hoping my decision would be made by this morning & nope, I still can't decide. You all gave compelling points & I thank you for that! I'm going to seperate them in different rooms & then see how that goes. I just can't bring myself to box up & send back the tree from the Q yet.

Switching gears, BTS. How large is the hole in the bottom of the Q tree? Wondering if it would accommodate a bright CI or Luminara candle, or a brighter battery operated light strand inside. Just a thought on how you might make the blue and green bulbs brighter...

The battery box is triangle shaped to accommodate 3 C batteries & is glued solid completely around bottom of the tree. You give a great idea, maybe DH can figure something out as he is very handy. He would have to proceed carefully as to not damage the tree. Thanks for the idea! I'm off tomorrow so I'll see what he can do.

I would stick with the larger one. They're not my style, but I'd really like the larger one if all the lights were white.Smile

BTS, Happy to help. It may not be worth all the trouble to switch out the light source, unless you like the shape and look of the tree enough to try it. It is a nicely shaped tree--I like them both, but I know I personally wouldn't be happy if the blue and green bulbs look dim compared to the others. Good luck deciding what to do.

Neither would be my thing, but despite the more colorful lights on the bigger one, I think I prefer the smaller one with the white base.

I prefer the green ones. But between these two, I vote for the one on the left, from QVC. It has four different colored lights, not three; the lighted star; and doesn't have all the stuff around the base.

I was at our Hallmark store and they too, have a ceramic tree for 39.00 It is probably in between the size of the two trees in this thread. It's green and plugs in. It was cute and I kind of wish I had bought it!!

My mom made one similar to the small tree years ago in a ceramics class. It was green with snow on the branches. Now I see trees just like it all over the place!

If I had a choice, I would keep the larger tree.
