I would go with the larger one as I like it better but also like the plug in over batteries in the smaller one. However, if you wanted to use on a coffee table or dining table the battery one would work better. Good luck.

Big one!

Does the base garland come off the one on the right? If not, I'd ditch that one because it's too much. Too busy/confused/gilding the lily for me. The trees have their toes on the line of tackiness anyway and the base surround thing pushes it over, if that's a concern.
Love them both though!
The garland looks a Valerie Parr Hill one from a few years ago. I have several of them.

JPC, It's the battery issue that keeps me undecided. I'm not even sure if I want to take the time to "test drive" the battery life. I watched the video again and there was no reference to the battery life. They are made by Mr. Christmas so not sure if that could have any impact. I have had good & bad luck with Mr. Christmas. How is your project for Mr. Crazy coming along?
Graycatsrule, I see what you mean about the bulb size. At least they all light up as the other tree has some issues with that. Still pondering...
Bewhaha and Pagan, DH totally agrees with you! He's not getting it but I don't get some of his fishing and golfing gear…!
Lucymo, how perceptive of you regarding the garland surrounding the CB tree! I have another one and you are right, I continue to get many uses out of them year after year. Definitely one of VPH's better garlands.
Thanks to all who have submitted your opinions!

I vote for the small one - it's much more nostalgic looking to me. It's just like the ones I remember from when I was young.

I like the larger one, BTS. The fact that it is a plug in is a big plus. I also like the fact that there is a large assortment of bulb colors on the tree. QVC should have asked for a larger assortment of colors. It adds more visual interest. Did you buy the CB tree this year? I really like it. Hope this helps!

I saw the big one in person and it has a large, bright (centerpiece-type) presence, while the smaller one has a more quiet, vintage charm. I could see using both, but in different ways...I switch my vote to both

Hi BTS,
Got the quilt all done for Mr Crazy, all I have to do is wrap it. One thing out of the way.
Now I have to finish a baby quilt before next month and the baby gets here.
