I am debating on whether to change out all my fixtures etc, and could use some advice. The plan is to sell the house in approx. 5 years (hopefully in a better market) and I am just wondering about the expense of changing everything out only to find whatever I pick now will be 'out' in realtor terms when we're ready to sell. Right now it's all polished brass (I know, how 80's but honestly I still like the look...maybe I should wait longer until it's 'back' again!
I could live with it and then see what's in when we're ready to sell, but part of me might like a change until then too.
Anyway, I'm leaning toward the oil rubbed bronze a lot, and wondered if you think that's got the legs to still be on trend in another five years or so. My sister redid with the polished nickel at least five years ago and that still seems to be acceptable. As any of you know that have replaced out fixtures, once you start, there's a lot to do and it's not cheap. If we weren't planning to sell in the near term, I'd just get what I liked and to heck with it. Thoughts?
