I've always had Simmons Beautyrest. My current mattress set was purchased about 7 years ago and I still love it. Thick boxspring - I was offered the option of a thinner boxspring but declined. I do have to hop up into bed a bit due to the height -- and it's an antique brass bed -- but hey, that's what a princess must do, right?

 

The only thing I will change with my next purchase is to go back to a two-sided mattress that be flipped. This one cannot so I rotate it a few times per year.
