Rechargeable telescoping floor scrubbing brush.  Originally found it on Amazon where it was cheaper and free shipping...about 2 years ago.  Around $90 then.

You can actually see the suds change color as you brush the section you are working on.  You can rinse the brush head also.  

The floor actually sparkles....mine is vintage Solarian !

Most of my home is carpeted, so I don't have a lot of bare floor to clean.  Swiffer works fine for a small area.  I know this may sound odd, but I didn't even know they still made those string mops.  The last time I saw one used was by a school janitor.

There are several different brush heads for different purposes.  If you have a pool ( we don't ), it can clean under water.

Its footprint is small but you may want to store all the extra brushes in a box.  I have a 3-drawer plastic rolling cart back under the linen closet shelf: takes one drawer.

For me, this is a very useful cleaning tool.  Wish I had some use for all the attachments !
