My front door is black on the outside and white on the inside. My house is painted and very dark olivey green. Just put my fall wreath on the door - fall colors look great with black.

I am going to paint ours--maybe a light blue green; maybe charcoal gray, maybe black--on the outside! House is red brick with an aged brick look.
Thoughts? Thanks!
With red brick, I can't see blue/green matching very well and not sure about charcoal gray. Whatever you decide, I highly suggest staying in the same color group as the brick (tint, tone, shade or hue) for a cohesive look.
My door is white on both sides.
@ThinkingOutLoud LOL!!! No I want the door to be different and not match the brick. I'm not a very cohesive person! ![]()

Your choice, of course. I guess I'm thinking of my friend who has done some outside 'updates' to her house but one would think she's either color blind or was just looking for a bargain on everything as the exterior is just a mish-mash now.

Downstate mine is black on the outside, white on the inside. I considered black interior (as I wanted black window frames).
Up north it's cedar, but I had to look (I realized I have never entered our house through the front door).

Savannah brick - sort of peachy w/ a sanded finish.
Shutters and doors are high gloss black.
Door insides are white - the same color as the crown molding, window, door frames, and outside trim.
Looks great with ferns in large black planters.

The outside of our front door matches the shutters and is slate blue which coordinates with colors on the inside of our home. The inside of the door is white and matches the woodwork. At the beach house the outside of the front door also matches the shutters and the inside matches the woodwork. Outside is taupe, inside white.

@jannabelle1 Same here! Except I would love a light Blue Door.....

On the outside and white on the inside.
On the door, it really looks more orange/pumpkin.

Before our house burned and we were forced to choose a new brick when we rebuilt, our home was an aged red brick. Before the fire, we had replaced the roof with tiles that had some olive green speckles. We chose an olive green paint for the front door. A light "Castelvetrano" olive green.

I loved how it "brought out" the bits of green on the roof tiles. And even the brick looked better. The house was fabulous! And then it burned...

@just bee I can't imagine how difficult that must be! One reason I was thinking of a charcoal gray was that it would match the roof and not be as dark as black. I will bet your door was lovely!
I can't imagine making all the decisions required to rebuilt! I feel for anyone who goes through that!
