We have a craftsman , our outside has stone in various autumnal shades , shake in blonde, shingles in nutmeg. Trims on Windows in white and porch columns in white as well . Shutters in black and outside door black half way with clear glass with black on top half. Inside white. This is the time our house looks its best as we are surrounded by woods so all those changing leaves in autumnal shades match our house 😺🍁🍂🍁🍂🎃

My front door is navy blue. My shutters are painted navy blue as well. I love the look. The shutters and front door were burgundy and white when I bought my house.
My parents had their front door and shutters painted black and it looks great. It was teal before that for many years.

@Sooner , I hired a pro. The first "pro" wasn't particularly "professional" and I had him sand and paint it twice (even then I wan't happy - we have parted ways) so then I had a friend who really is a professional painter, go over it again to even out the sheen.
i was going to do it myself (it needed to be painted in a bad way) and I lost my nerve. I think now, having been through the process three times, I'd consider doing it myself. Depending on your door's composition and what "look" you desire (smooth, hand painted/brushed, patinated, etc), technique makes a world of difference.
Mine went from smooth to definitely a hand-painted look, but I like it and I love the color. Looks fabulous from the street. I did the shutters in Ben Moore Van Duesen blue and it looks great with the Caliente door. The house is light yellow. Trim is a putty green. Sounds weird but really works with the light here and my effusive landscape scheme, and the way the house sits low to the street. Let us know what you decide!

@Sweetbay magnolia THANKS for the advice. My problem is I'm afraid I'll decide not to decide! We've had so much. bad weather in the last year that we feel like we've rebuilt the house.
I wish I could skulk up to all the neighbors front doors for a look but that might scare them! LOL!!!
And too there is the landscaping to think about after losing all the shrubbery last winter. Which we didn't replace until the major roofing and such was done.

Good luck, @Sooner . When you find the right color it will let you know!
