@aroc3435 I wish I had purchased the nine speed rather than the five speed.  Truth be told, I use my KA hand mixer more than my KA stand mixer, so having the extra speed options would have been a better option for me.

Of course, prices have gone up since our purchases of whatever prior year but if you are patient you might find a great deal on a 9 speed since this time of year in the shopping cycle is the best for buys on this kind of item.

I would definitely check out the KA website and set up a free member account.  You will get better deals and e-mail offers. 

You might even find something great now from them before the traditional Black Friday, since all retailers are competing pretty fiercely for our discretionary dollars.

You could keep the present 5 speed as backup or give it to someone else who needs/doesn't have one.

Kitchen aid.  It's probably aoubt 15-20 years old.  I don't use it often.

Mine is a Sunbeam that used to belong to my MIL, it has to be about 50 yrs old and it still works great too.

• We have had many handheld mixers over the years but we bought a kitchen aid handheld when qvc had a good deal on them. Its awesome. We would never go back to other brands and its much more quiet allso.
