Re: Wedding Rings Quilt ... The End

@Lilysmom Well, that was a winter well spent!GREAT JOB!! It's beautiful!! Some of my earliest memories are sitting under the quilt in the frame at sewing circle and watching the thimbled fingers searching for the needles coming through the quilt. Many years later I took a quilting course and never even finished my project. I admire your creativity and stamina!

Wow, you work fast.  I can’t believe you got that border on already.

You should be proud.  Making a quilt is a labor of love and yours is beautiful.

Have fun in the garden.  I wish I could start.  We are still having snow and rain and cold weather.  Mother Natire is confused again this year.

Re: Wedding Rings Quilt ... The End

@Lilysmom, This is perfection.  Just beautiful.  You truly have a talent.

My grandmother and great-grandmother made very similar quilts, but they would machine-stitch the individual fabrics that created the wedding rings (or whatever design was being created) and machine-stitch pretty much the entire quilt top together, and then they would hand quilt the remainder until all was complete.

Thanks for the pics.  Well done.  Heart

Re: Wedding Rings Quilt ... The End

@zitawins, I am in Nova Scotia, Canada.  The quilting group sounds like fun.

I am tempted to try to do a quilt of my home property.  Haven’t got a clue where to start but I think it would be fun.  We overlook a lake so the view is lovely.

I have six months to think about that one.  LM
