Boy, I'm only able to catch bits and pieces of her shows today, and it's a good thing.  I'm going to remind myself to curate my own cupboards and just watch and enjoy from afar!

I'm so underwhelmed with everything and glad for it! LOL

I went online to look at all the 'new' and I certainly hope that throughout the year, they have much more, better and more variety in styles than what we are seeing today, considering this is a big 25th anniversary year!

I'm beginning the process of sorting through all the stuff I have, donating and remaking my various vignettes, so that probably is curbing my desire to buy and love new things too.

I'll also admit I don't favor spring decor. I just never cared for it or the colors it is usually offered in.

And then there is that spending diet I've put myself on.......

@Sweet_Serenity

I wish QVC would bring back real quilts in general!

What is passing today as a quilt here and many other places just doesn't cut it for me.

I like pieced quilts, appliqued quilts, beautiful old fashioned quilts, and they either aren't found or are cheaply constructed these days.

A lot of what is out there today is a single piece of printed fabric with some stitching throughout and doesn't even resemble what once was called a quilt.

If I remember correctly, Valerie used to do a lot in toile, including throws and quilts, and they were so pretty! That kind of once piece quilt I do love!

@Sweet_Serenity

Thanks!

I have the original set that was my grandmother's, then my mother's, and now mine.

I use them every year to make our Christmas cookies, and mostly just display them the rest of the year.

I love the connection to the past that handed down kitchen items create. I always feel like I'm cooking/baking with those women when I'm in the kitchen with those old loved pieces.

I am still in the process of taking down all the Christmas decorations.  :-(  I don't think I will ever get done!  I am taking my time and trying to toss what needs to be tossed and donate a lot of other items I don't need or just have too much of it.  I am on a self imposed spending freeze until I purge what I already have.

The TSV wreaths are really not my style or colors.  There are so many florist and gift shops around in my area, I can find something lovely for the same or less price  I love VPH and a lot of her items.  I only change out my indoor decor for winter.  I use a woodland theme that works just fine with Thanksgiving and then I change out some of the items to reflect the Christmas season.  I have purchased many of her Christmas ornaments, angels, and candle holders and love them all.  If you are getting the TSV, enjoy!
