Washing Machine Recall

There is a recall on 14 models of Samsung washing machines sold at several box stores and on-line between June, 2021 and December, 2022. Incidences of ovrrheating. Bears checking out. Models are top-loaders with super speed wash.

Hmmmm, I wonder what one does with a recalled washing machine? It's not like you can put it in the car and take it back to the store.

In other words, if an individual has purchased a Samsung in this period, he\she should pursue model # , etc.....that's being recalled.🙂

Oh, I see now: it bears checking out. I had a picture in my mind of bears - the animal - checking out - from a hotel, for example.

Thanks for the info...I am almost sure the new washer and dryer set DD bought a couple of months ago would be one of those.

I found this article so interesting. You can fix the problem yourself?

"A software update can fix the fire hazard. "Consumers should immediately check whether their washer's software has been updated to prevent the hazard; and, if not, consumers should immediately stop using the washer until the software is updated," the CPSC said.

All wi-fi equipped washers should automatically download the free software repair when connected to the internet, Samsung said. Those who don't have internet can get a free dongle from Samsung to plug in and download the free software repair."
