I love warm tones and actually prefer them. But I do like cool tones for a change in some rooms as well, but overall I am more of a warm tone person, not just with decor, but with my dress style also! I am a "Fall", so that fits right in for me! lol.....

I prefer warm tones but my living room is a combination that @faeriemoon mentioned.  I have a warmer taupe color on my walls but my furniture is mostly gray with accents of black gray, cream and tan.

Who else prefers warm toned rooms?

It seems that every time I post a photo of a room decorated in warm tones, some people comment that the room looks “dated”. I guess my home is dated, because it’s decorated in warm tones & colors.

I prefer warm colors because I think they generally tend to be more cozy & inviting than cooler tones. I am going to keep the warm palette in my home even though it may not be “on trend”. We are the ones living here so it needs to suit us and our preferences.

@wilma  I'm sure your home looks warm and inviting.  I don't feel comfortable in all the whites and grey colors they are touting now. I find them cold and sterile. I love fall, so any fall color works for me.   One thing is for sure, trends come and go. Warm colors will make a comeback for sure.

@wilma   I like both warm and cool.  I think what I don't like is when there is too much dark either way.  I have a vaulted pine ceiling in a huge great room so that room looks good with warm colors.  Because it is a sea of wood, I have always kept the walls off white and now have a light cream colored couch with terra cotta and blue colored pillows.  I also have added some light colored vases and objects.  It's amazing how updated it looks now!  I have to admit that I did think my old couch looked "dated" and I can't believe the difference that  1 new couch and 5 new pillows have made!  With that said, I intend to live with this look for a long long time.  I am not one to change things that often. I'll have to look your picture up, I forget what it looked like.  However, if you like it, it really doesn't matter what I think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree completely.  I feel a lot better living with warmer tones in my home.  I have mostly skipped the whole gray trend.  Where I live its cold for half of the year and can be dreary so we don't need a lot of gray and cool tones in our interiors.
