Wallpaper In The Powder Room

10 Best Wallpapered Powder Rooms From Pinterest (With images ...

Someone posted about wallpaper the other day.  I believe it was Wilma 7500.  I came across this picture of a powder room.  I really think it adds to a small room with no tub or shower. A little "somethin somethin" where a little means a lot.

Re: Wallpaper In The Powder Room

Love me a gorgeous paper in the powder room!

The smallest room in the house is just a jewel box waiting to be decked out. May need as little as 1 or 2 double rolls. Now finding a capable person to hang the paper- that may be another story. My PR has 10 foot ceilings- out of my league. It's usually a DIY weekend job.

In my previous house the former owners did bead board up to 40-something inches and painted above that in both the powder room and very small master bath, and that was a good look, too. Window treatments provided the visual pop needed.

Especially if your powder room, like mine, lacks a window wallpaper adds whatever you like: color, texture, print or all the above. I look for the largest paint store in my area to find the best selection of wallpaper books.

Re: Wallpaper In The Powder Room

My powder room is very tiny without a window.  When we first moved into the home, I put a beautifully flowered wallpaper in.  Once it started peeling, I removed it, painted it a beautiful shade of dark rose, and the walls have lovely art work.  I love wallpaper until it starts to peel; then, I always seem to go with paint, which is easier to deal with.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I'm not a fan of wallpaper in any room but, IMHO, this pattern is much too busy for such a small space.

I'm a fan of wallpaper.

When we bought our first house (new construction) we wallpapered the entire place.

Re: Wallpaper In The Powder Room

I love it, in fact I think a powder room is the perfect place to put wallpaper. Everything else is simple, and it is obviously an old house because of the radiator, so it probably has fairly high ceilings.

I think that is the perfect setting for wallpaper.

Since they are usually small rooms you don't have to spend a lot of money and they are easily a do it yourself project. Plus wallpaper these days is much easier to get off because it is "strippable." I have a number of rooms with wallpaper and French Toile is a favorite.  This the big version of the toile.:
