Re: Wahing your microfiber cloths

I don't do towels but I do facecloths, cleaning cloths and kitchen cloths.  Lots of them.

I gave up on keeping germ free during during covid, so into the washer and dryer they go.

I am currently in love with some thick, "waffle knit" sink rags.  Go thru many a day.

I have enough mf cloths to last for at least a month worth of cleaning. I just put them all together, about once a month, and launder them. That way the cloths are kept away from the rest of my laundry where lint can be a problem for the mf. I also use an oxy-bleach powder, Lysol laundry Sanitizer and that takes care of germs that would otherwise need a hot dryer which you can't do with mf nor can you use chlorine bleach either.

This is pure non-chlorine oxy-bleach powder, no fillers. Find it on amazon. Whitens and brightens most everything w/o using chlorine.

Wash with a detergent free of dyes/perfumes on gentle with an extra rinse. Warm or cold water depends how soiled they are. Cold is fine for most, unless it's very dirty (then warm water).

Wash separately -- all microfiber only. When washed with other laundry, the microfiber will attract hair, lint, etc. and ultimately reduce the effectiveness of the microfiber cloth.

Dry on low, no fabric softener.

You can also hand wash -- and air dry.

This! Exactly!
