I few years ago I asked a guy that was cleaning the windows at the grocery store what he was using to get the windows so clean.  He had a bucket and a squeegee.  He said it was window washing solution that you use in the car.

I asked the guy who was with the service used for the office where I worked.  DAWN dish soap.  A very tiny amount in the water, not enough for suds, and squeegeed off. Nothing else.

I only use water with a splash of white vinegar and a microfiber cloth to clean my windows.   I do not buy any type of window cleaner ever, and never use paper towels.

In the past when I had someone come to clean my windows he used the blue Dawn dishwasing soap and water, cleaned with a sponge and dried with a squeegee. You may have to experiment with how much soap to use for a bucket of water. Cheap and effective.

It's a job we do to the best of our ability and I don't fret about the results.  I will say old newspapers work well for drying the outside of the windows.

That's what a window washer was using recently on the big front windows of the nail salon I go to and boy they looked spotlessly clean.

Since this seems to be very problematic for you, I would hire a window washing service to do the job and then relax. It couldn't cost more than all the money you have spent on cleaning supplies. Sometimes it is just easier to give in and let the pros do the job.

You got that right, sister!

@ScrapHappy   I use "Sparkle" == it cleans and shines the windows.  There is no amonia in it.  Amonia streaks.   I use the Sparkle spray bottle and paper towels.  If the window is really dirty repeat the process.

I use Invisable Glass, about $5 something a bottle. Never streaks, my grocery store you can find it in the auto section not the cleaning section. Lowes & Home depot carry it too think that is in the cleaning section.

My Walmart sells the Invisible Glass pump sprayer or aerosol can for about $3.50. That's what I use on my windows and mirrors with microfiber towel.
