I really hope we get a refund. I am still paying my off, cause I used my "easy pay" for it!

And what do you know? They decide to call us on "feb 1" and wait till the jan 31 date to go away and now we cant send them back! Seems like they planned it like that??

I didn't have any problems, but now I wouldn't turn it on if you paid me. That really stinks, cause it was a cute little heater. I don't have the box either.

Whoa...you no doubt are probably spot on...good point! Shame on you QVC!!! {#emotions_dlg.mad}

Do you all really have so little faith in QVC that you think they would deliberately do that? It would be a PR disaster. Of course they'll make some arrangement for reimbursement.

I know that is true...I got a call for mine today. However, I still agree with holiday62...about the timing of our being notified...today 2/1/2014, the day after... 1/31/2014...which is the end of being able to return items purchased during the holiday season "interesting".

Exactly. All I meant was that the "timing" of this wasn't the best. It just makes it "seem" like they did that way.

I hope that is all we'll have to do, is cut the cord, like someone said. And I think I will try and get that easy pay back too (it was one of the "thankyou" easy pays from the holiday season.)

Im just so surprised its a "Duraflame" one, ya know? I thought they would be one of the safest ones to buy!! Guess nothing is safe anymore.

Again the item number is: V32316. I never really had any problems with the two I purchased but nonetheless...it is bothersome. Never considered how the Q called us right after the return policy for holiday ended. Hmmmmmm Well...if all we have to do is cut of the cord and send that back..AND if they provide all the mailing materials AND we get option of a refund...then it may not be so bad.

Earlier this year I had a recall on a surge protector I was using for my computer and I had that for years ..never had any problems. I just had to send pic of SN on back of item..emailed it in..and a new one was sent. I guess I shouldn't be afraid to get new items but in this case...I may prefer a refund.

I am wondering about reimbursement as well. I guess patience and trust in QVC to do the right thing by this defective product some of us purchased/received. I used easy pay option as well. I am relieved it was this unit as I also bought a much more expensive Duraflame that works great. I agree to not leave any space heater unattended or while sleeping.

I'm sure they would take it back. It's only the 5th and its defective.

It would be an insult for those of us that purchased this item to ship it back. We deserve a full refund, no questions asked

Re: WARNING....DURAFLAME SMALL PORTALBE HEATER...STOP USING.....

I called the Q today to find out if they had any more info on this.

She told me I can just mail it back for a full refund. She said just put it in any box (since I don't have the box it came in). She said that is no problem, since its a "recall" item.

She said she doesn't know what they are going to do yet and doesn't think they will know for a couple of weeks yet. (either refund or send out a new part?? yikes, I wouldn't want to repair the item myself with the part they send) She also said I would still have to keep paying on my easy pay. Well, im not going to do that, I don't want to pay on an item that has been recalled, that seems strange to me.

Im boxing it up right now and mailing it back. Just thought i'd let you know if anyone else wanted to do the same.

Im just glad I can just send it back for a full refund.

So, I am assuming if I choose to send it back, I am paying the shipping to do so? I also threw out the box, yet, if necessary will pack the heater up in another one. Just disappointed it is on us, and, also, that they are continuing to collect easy pay on a defective product. Where is the customer service, here?

I'm very disappointed if we have to pack these up and mail back for a refund. If anything they should do what I've read here from others; just send the cord back showing we purchased the item. We shouldn't have to put any more money into this item at all. Perhaps the Customer Rep didn't really have any info on this so said what she though one could do. That's unacceptable to me. No one should have to return these..but if we do...QVC should send us return labels and the customers shouldn't have to spend any further money on this. {#emotions_dlg.mad}

ETA: I just spoke with customer service and she said letters should have begun going out last week. If I don't get mine by Friday to call them. I'm not waiting until Friday. She thinks we'll be asked to send item back. I purchased two of these and have the box the heater came in; not mailing box though. Again, I'm waiting for instructions. They SHOULD pay for all returns. My two are already paid for so I'm hoping for some type of refund.
