Valerie Parr Hill what happened to quality?

I have several things in my home from Valerie Parr Hill including a lamp, her wire chicken coops and some Christmas items.  This fall I purchased H213106 Set of 3 Illuminated Mercury Glass Christmas Trees which were so cute.  I gave them away to friends and decided to order a set for myself.  The first replacement set had to be returned because 2 of the lighted trees didn't work.  I received the 2nd replacement set today and it seemed obvious by all the tape on the box this was a set that had been returned.  I put in fresh batteries and 1 of the trees didn't work.  So annoying to have to return again and hope the next set will work.  I put a note inside marking the defective light in hopes they won't send this set out to someone else.  How many times will QVC keep sending out faulty items?

@Wobin.  As long as Valerie continues to depend on peddling stuff made by second rate manufacturers in China, the quality of her merchandise is going to be poor.  I think many have become disgusted with it and are finished shopping with her.  I know I am.

As long as QVC buys and has manufactured poorly made stuff from China and people continue to buy it.

I'm guilty.  Most everything is made in China.  What choice do we have?

I noticed how China is printing in big letters on their boxes..."MADE IN CHINA" as if they are proud of their shoddy workmanship.

@Wobin   Why would you return and reorder for a third time?  I would return them as defective and never order anything of hers again.

Re: Valerie Parr Hill what happened to quality?

I've had a couple of disappointments from VPH but so far much more good than bad.  I reached the point a few of years ago where I read descriptions very carefully - acrylic, plastic, glass for example, and I don't buy anything until it has garnered a number of reviews.

A couple of my favorite Christmas decorations are from her.  The kaleidoscope trees hit it out of the park.

One order was all it took for me to say never again.

I understand that viewpoint. I feel exactly that way about restaurants.

Things I've bought many years ago -- many lighted pieces are still working and compliment my home decor.

Fast forward to past few years -- lots of disappointment OR I find a comparable piece at Home Goods, Old Time Pottery, At Home or any home decorstore.

Although, I took a chance on the clearance wreath and candle rings.  Both are beautiful and perfect!

Its a hit or miss -- my biggest gripe is what I see as "defective" and return Q does not refund my return shipping + of course, orig s/h.  Then I'm out $10+ just to get a dud!!!

Hey, it's the best Chinese made quality money can buy. How much junk and Knick knacks do we really need?

@Foxxee.  Not everything made in China is cheap junk.  We get nice clothing and electronics, for instance.   Stuff like Valerie sells is made cheap to sell cheap.  I don't know why people keep buying it.
