Living in South Florida, the driftwood look is very big for us down here and I have several driftwood decor pieces that I keep out all the time anyway in addition to how I beleive they will compliment my large JS Santa collection. It's nice to have a few larger pieces to put with all my Santas just to break up the collection. I find it hard to find pieces to put between my JS Santas that don't get overpowered. The presentation was rather quck, but I think I got a good enough look at them to be excited to get them. Did you order them before they sold out??
Yes, I did. I don't have anything like them and don't really decorate with that style but I do a woodland scene with reindeer so they will work there. I have some with the burlap look, etc. I'm glad we got in before they sold out, and they went quick, didn't they?
They sure did go quick. Hardly a presentation at all but at least we got a closer look at them. Just finished watching the JS show. He had some beautiful new pieces. Now I have to decide on something from him too. Hard Choices!!
I'm excited to get them too. Good luck with the decision for the JS pieces. I'll help you out here, think storage.

Unless JPC shows up and talks me into it, I guess I should hold off on anymore pieces for today. Looks like I got off light this CIJ.

I know the exact piece you are talking about. It is adorable. I enjoyed Jim's show this morning. Truth is there are so many new pieces I want this year that I don't know what to get. I've spent the last hour going into my Christmas closet, which is loaded wth JS boxes. I love them all!

@MTH wrote:This has been a frugal weekend for me so far too. I only ordered the reindeer from Jill's show. I really wanted to get the Jim Shore Santa with the train but not sure I can fit another JS piece in my Christmas closet. I'm almost hoping I don't see anything in Valerie's show tomorrow but that may be wishful thinking. Keep posting what you all are getting.
That Santa and the train, and the angel in the nativity were indeed beautiful pieces and the auto delivery was very tempting...Beautiful pieces by Jim!!! I had to restrain myself. That Santa holding the toys and the puppet on the string was nice too---Oh so tempting...one time when a bigger house would be nice, but then I'd have too much to clean...LOL
