Re: Using Wallpaper to Customize Furniture

I like this idea a lot.  Of course, I've mentioned before that I detest purple and any shade thereof, but I like the concept and would do this with another color/pattern.

Re: Using Wallpaper to Customize Furniture

This is something I would do in the right kind of house/room.  Would choose a better looking wallpaper tho.

I might like this concept if the wallpaper were a different print.  I think it overpowers the room and I'm not a fan of it anyway.

It's OK...you can change it as many times as you please so that's a quick and easy way to make the entire room look different.

Re: Using Wallpaper to Customize Furniture

When we were first married and bought our first house back in 1979 we did this to our bathroom. We painted the wooden cabinets white, took off the doors and put a square of wallpaper in the middle and framed it (painted white). It was adorable. I guess we were way ahead of our times. Woman Very Happy

Re: Using Wallpaper to Customize Furniture

When we were first married we bought an old camper. It was avacado green appliances & cabinets  and mod flowered wallpaper. I painted over the wallpaper and put a pretty modern (for 1985) wallpaper on the kitchen cabinet doors to kill some of the avacado green. Around 1995 we sold that old camper to a friend who put it on a piece of land he owns to use as a hunting camp. It's still there and gets used in the summer as a place to go to swim etc and in the fall as a hunting camp.He told me a couple years ago he took the wall paper off the cabinet doors and painted the walls white and the cabinets yellow.

I like it.
The large print breaks up the purple in the room nicely.

They did a really good job of making sure the branches lined up properly from door to door.
