Re: Using Multiple Identical Pieces

[ Edited ]

No thanks. This, to me, is the hallmark of someone afraid to make a choice. A shame because the room is potentially quite a nice one but the only things I'd keep are the wing chairs. I'd not want duplicates of everything and not all in the same bland neutral.

Re: Using Multiple Identical Pieces

This can't be for real!

Kind of weird looking with all the furniture moved into the middle of the room.

Looks claustrophobic.

Re: Using Multiple Identical Pieces

I think this designer walked in to the store and said.... I will take 2 of everything.

Not for me but the room itself is bright and airy which I like.

I love the windows and even the color of the room.

Was the furniture store having a BOGO if you bought duplicates.

I like symmetry, but this room is too much of a good thing. It has some beautiful pieces, but no real style, just furniture lined up facing each other.

I like symmetry in a room but this goes overboard.

Re: Using Multiple Identical Pieces

Maybe the goal was to create a more formal living room.

A mirror image in a space is formal balance.

The more you lean toward an informal balance- variety in print, furniture and accessories, the more casual the room becomes.

I don't find this room inviting.

Thanks for an interesting picture.

Re: Using Multiple Identical Pieces

The room on its own is lovely.  However, as other posters have commented, too much furniture.  I would keep the wing chairs and a couch and omit the green chairs and one couch.  also the tall plants would have to go and the coffee table which doesn't fit in for starters/  There is potential here.

Parts of this house reminds me of a funeral home. The rest I just don't like.
