@Oznell   I really like this kitchen and think they did a good job keeping with the period, yet adding a couple of interesting twists in the hardware and lighting. I also love beadboard as a backsplash.  I find this kitchen very warm and inviting.

Me too, @jubilant --  I love it when they knowingly mix in just a few elements "that don't belong"-- that's me all over.

 

I don't know why we ultimately decided against a beadboard backsplash-- it's one of those kitchen 'regrets' I have.  I like the off-white, arabesque tile we chose, and it's easy to clean.   But not as atmospheric!
