Try a few drops of Dawn (blue-original) dish soap on it. I would let it sit for a while and then use a scruby and run warm water over it.

@FranandZoe  I'd be afraid these things might stain the fabric, unless you've tried these. 

 

@LdyBugz  I'd return them. This has now turned into a mess for you. I'm sure you're PO'd, I would be. Sorry this happened. Gripes me too - this is like stickers on glassware, vases etc on the bottom.

@PINKdogWOOD  Yes, labels can be an annoyance sometimes.  It would be helpful if retailers would use common sense with what kind they use and where they put them.  I think the worst ones are the tags that Home Goods uses.  You have to peel those off in sections due to the way they are perforated.  Oh well!  There are bigger things to fret about.
