I did this and now I get a copy in the mail.  HTH.

Really? I thought you had to pay like $30.00 to get this.

@Mominohio  Thank you.  I do love this lantern, it has interest in the lacy work.  I have last years TSV lantern on the porch and it looks great there but this type is my favorite.  I realize this style isn't for everyone but I always go for it.

@lucymo I love your lantern.  If I had ever seen it online, I would have wanted it for sure.  I bought my mom one from HL that has similar pierced metal treatment and similar shape, but it's pewter colored, and I think yours has more intricate details, something not often found in a lantern.

@country gal, I do remember some comments last time about the candles vs lanterns being a little odd in proportion, and I agreed with most of those opinions.  I don't think any were terrible looking, but I know what you mean.

Just my 2 cents:  If I were to order a TSV lantern, it would be with no intention of having to remove the candle and replace it with another, or raise it on a pedestal, unless I already owned the perfect Luminara candle to put inside it.  To me, these lanterns are not priced low enough to justify having to go on the hunt for and spending more money on the right sized candle, pedestal, etc.  I do like them, though, even though I think they're more clean and streamlined (like @Mominohio said) than my usual taste in lanterns.  They were highly praised last time, though, so I think in most cases they were good quality lanterns.

This is my experience with tall lanterns.  I know I've mentioned this lantern before, so bear with me.  I have two of these outside in different places.  They are 27" tall x 10-1/4" wide.  I used a 7" Luminara outdoor candle in each one--that's the largest I own.  I thought it needed to be taller (also a bit wider, but that cannot be helped), so in one I added a 2" thick square block of wood that takes up the entire inside of the lantern base.  That worked great.  In the other, I ended up using a very old , crackled ceramic sugar bowl that is shaped sort of like an urn, missing its lid, and the candle sits on top of it.  I put some rocks around the base of the bowl as a sort of filler.  The style of these lanterns is so rustic that I could get away with using these old and random finds, but I think anything could be used to give a candle a little more height.

Re: Those of you with TALL lanterns, a ?

Received my 16" lantern today in the new slate color.  It's not gray.  It's teal, a medium shade matte blue green color with maybe just a hint of gray undertone.  Stunning color that will go with just about any decor colors I can think of.  Lantern was very carefully packaged and easy to unpack.  Can't wait to receive my 12" size.  These really are too pretty to put outside in the weather!
