Re: Things Always Happen In Threes

@NickNack

I'm sorry, I hadn't realized you replaced your AC already.  I'm not familiar with heat pumps although I've heard of them.  Our home is small also, it was btw 700-800 sq. ft. when I moved here.  Since then, we've added a couple small additions so now a little over 1,000 sq. ft.  At least it's easier to clean Woman Wink

We have central air as well, but we found it more costly using it.  Plus, our state had the rebate program for utility saving programs.  That was a plus for us.

So, how are your Sweet Ava & Mr. Henry doing?  Are they best buddies yet?

@sceniccoast   I've had Ava for three months as of today.  She is doing so much better with Henry.  He keeps trying though.  I think she will come around.  I think she's made a remarkable improvement.  Henry is as sweet as ever.  Thanks for asking.

Re: Things Always Happen In Threes

@NickNack  - was the hose the only problem with the dryer?  My dryer wasn't drying properly on the sensor dry setting, so I had a repairman come and replace the sensors, as well as the heating unit, since they charge so much labor, I figured I would replace it while he was there.  When he had the front off the dryer, there was a lot of lint covering the front of the fan.  I am religious about cleaning the lint trap every time and even have one of those brushes you can use to get down further.  But there was no way I could have gotten to that lint.  Sensor drying needs good air flow, so the lint may have been the problem all along.  Sorry this is so long, but check everything before you invest in a new dryer.

@DecorDiva   Since the hose was just stuck in the hole improperly the handyman didn't do anything.  They will replace the hose when they put in the vent pipe, vent connector and pipe plate.  My dryer is at least 12 years old, so I wouldn't repair it.  I dried a load of clothes last night, and they were fine though.

Time flies.  That's good to hear.  Sounds like they're on the road to becoming loving sister/brother.

Thanks for the update.
