This doesn't appeal to me and in fact I wouldn't be comfortable reading in that area.

@lolakimono LOVE it. So serene and calming. Green is known to have a calming effect which is why a lot of medical offices are a light green. Sigh. I want that space, I really do. However, I would put a couple of really big pillows up against the window.

First impression:  Bad idea!

 

It's impracticality for reading speaks for itself.  

 

Remove the cushion, replace with live house plants of differing heights.  Possibly, a decorative statue in there somewhere.  Place a bench or low decorative table on the floor.  The end.

Looks like a waste of space.  I would need to add a comfy recliner to sit in while I read.
