Thinking back to late last year...

I remember last year how much I enjoyed collecting the Better Homes and Gardens Christmas/Holiday/Heritage collection of dinnerware...pieces from I think starting in 2009- last year 2014.

I'm looking forward to what a 'possible' new coordinating set will look like. I think it will be awfully hard for them to top the wonderful set of animals/birds salad plates, that's for sure!

I also remember how challenging it was to get a few of the plates/bowls since most were not available in all the Walmarts...only regional. I was lucky to get some of the pieces at great deals on EBay before the bidding wars started...LOL

Here are some pics of all of the various designed pieces (bowls, salad & dinner plates) I have collected. I also got the mistletoe platter, a couple of serving bowls, a couple of mistletoe mugs, and a 3-section serving dish. I just adore all the pieces! Smiley Very Happy

@ILUVChristmas  Maybe they will have them at your local WM this year...or hopefully you can get them online. WM did offer some of the plates as a set on their website, but they went fast!

Thankfully, I never saw these pieces.  They are very pretty, I think the plate with the owls is awesome!

I have a pfaltzgraff (holiday spice) set from years ago and fiesta ware pieces so my husband says we have enough. He knows how much I love dishes and different flatware, so I have to be satisfied with just looking.

I have a thing for pretty dishes!

gosh, this tablet or the page froze, and thank goodness for auto save!

@Nomore  Those are wonderful sets! I only have a couple of Fiesta ware pieces...

Maybe someday you could add a few new dishes. Sorry to hear you can't get anymore Smiley Sad

It's okay, no need for sorry, I just packed away two large sets of  Wedgewood china from my china cabinet. I had to move all my fiesta ware out of kitchen cabinets into the hutch. I've given away more sets than I can remember and only one regret of giving my German china to a friend who needed it and then sold it.  I've been lucky to have bought different sets over the years.

I'm the one you see drooling in dept stores! Smiley LOL

@Nomore  I have only had one set of dishes all of my adult life til last year. It is a simple off white/ivory set of Johnson Brothers/England I got at a clearance price in the early 80's when I moved into my apt from living with my parents. I think I paid $49 on clearance for a dinnerware set for 12...which included cup/saucer, bowls, salad plates, dessert plates, butter dish, 2 serving bowls, 2 platters, and of coarse the dinner plates. We still use them most of the time too after all these years.

I guess last year I made up for lost time Smiley Tongue...LOL I never had a set of china either...

@Susan Louise

Did you have to go there?!!!

I have been thinking for weeks about what they might come out with in this line for the upcoming season. And was trying to ignore myself!!

I have everything to this set as well, and every year, I could kick myself when I check ebay, because I stand in the store, and think how much money I could make if I just bought the whole shelf and resold them. But I want others to get excited about the find like I am, and only take a couple of each new one each year, to complete my collection for my own use. Most stores only get in one very small shipment, and they are sometimes gone in just hours.

I'm planning on only buying the any new animal salad plate they might add, but I can't imagine what they have left to add to the mix.

I've been lucky enough that our Walmart has had all the sets, except the one with the flower on it.  I hadn't seen that one.  They've also had the platters, canisters, S&P shakers.  I got the deer S&P shakers and I use them in one of my cloches.

Last year the dinner plate was a little different than the year before.  I have 4 each of the original dinner plates and 4 of last year's version.  Then I have four each of the printed salad plates.

I wonder too what they will have out this year, carry on with this or come out with something new.
