i went into one of my stores this morning and they were unboxing and putting out alot of holiday decor! i felt like i was in santa's workshop - so many people with gorgeous things! everything was so shiny and sparkly and pretty! they had a lot of mercury glass - ornaments and candle holders for big pillar candles like these:

also a lot of large silver and mercury glass deer that i have seen people in larger homes use to decorate a room. they were not small reindeer you would place on a table or mantle. and people were loading up those little buggies with goodies! {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

Beautiful things. With a 4yo granddaughter here every week, I haven't got into the mercury glass yet.

I was in Home Goods, TJ Maxx and Marshall's on Sunday and they were moving everything out to put the holiday decorations in. I was planning to go back Thursday night to see what all they had. Thanks for the preview!

I stalk TJMaxx's holiday decor like a cougar! I check out everything that comes in that I want, and wait until it goes on sale in the days leading up to Christmas. If it is something I really want I'll get it, but their end of season sales are great! Sometimes I make a quick stop in on Christmas Eve day and see what's on sale and I'll go back the day after Christmas when everything is 50% off, then 75% off etc. I get such a high shopping for holiday decor. Last year I stalked a large wreath with vintage style ornaments and jewelry on it that started out at $50, but I kept going back and it was finally half off and down to three left, but I held out and the wreath was on my mind so decided to get it and it was on sale for $15.00. I love it and can't wait to get it out this year. The thrill of the hunt.

yes - that was the other good thing. red stickers were all over the place! they need to get that stock out of the way for all the new goodies coming in! i got a few deals on clearance items,too. if you can - find out what day your store's trucks come in. i had to ask one of the girls that was filling the shelves one day. the manager did not want to tell me - you would have thought i asked for the secret 11 herbs and spices to KFC! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

i am going to go out to my other Maxx and see what is going on in that store,too.

There's a lot of nice holiday decor at Home Goods too, at very good prices.
