Re: THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS LIVING ROOM OF THE NEWMANS

@stevieb ,  agree,  Adam's abode didn't look terribly interesting.  But I was kind of distracted during that segment, found it hard to pay attention to the tedious back and forth betweem him and his ex-wife.  Chelsea?  She seems naive about what this move back in with him will mean...

@twinsister ,  I love the old "Father Knows Best" house!  Was Victoria's house the one where Claire gave Jordan the sleeping pills?  From what I could tell, it was kind of cute and cottagey.

I want a full tour of ALL the multiple homes in Genoa City, including the high rise apartment or condo of the couple who are helping the woman who hopes to re-unite with her ( estranged?) son.  It's funny that Genoa City has vast open spaces with huge ranch complexes, and sophisticated New York-style apartments with twinkling urban views out the windows...

@Oznell - I think it was the Tack House, which is on Victor's property, that Claire gave  Jordan the sleeping pills.  It does have that cottage, rustic look.  The high rise apartment is the penthouse in a building that I think Devon owns. Many of the main characters have lived in that penthouse at one time.

@Oznell , There have been multiple penthouses, all very similar wink, wink. At one time Adam (a different Adam) lived in one with Chelsea for their 2.0 (they've had many) stint. Can't remember who lived in the mirror image apartment across the hall. I believe the penthouse started with Victor and Nicki, who lived there temporarily when Sharon torched the ranch. Since then Devon and many of his family members have lived in one or the other of the apartments at various times.

Re: THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS LIVING ROOM OF THE NEWMANS

@stevieb , ha, a serviceable, 'all-purpose' penthouse!  I got to get a better look at it yesterday, but it's never enough. I have a complaint about the lighting on Y and R, esp. in the Newman ranch living room-- always seems a bit dark.  I hope it's that, and not my eyes....

It's not your eyes, since Day 1 I've always thought the art directors (assuming there are any) involved in the production of Y&R have opted for a sort of dark-ish overall look. Almost all the sets tend a bit on the dim side to me, and as I think back over the many sets I can recall, that seems to be the norm for this soap.
