That is beautiful. What a perfectly put together yard. I love it....I guess the squirrel does too....LOL.  He's a stinker.

I'm ok with the squirrels most of the time. The only time it does drive me crazy is when they try burying the black walnuts they get from across our street and bury in our gardens and they take the peanuts in the shell we feed the blue jays and crows in the winter and bury them in our yard for snacking later. The squirrels are without a doubt a great source of amusement!

The black walnuts in the shells are huge! LOL

Here is what the 'Giant' sunflower looked like while it was growing...before it set seeds (look in the corner of our backyard). The following week I cut the sunflower head off because it was really drooping...very heavy from the seeds and tied it up for feathered and furry critters to enjoy as you can see in the previous pic Smiley Happy

That's a very nice sunflower plant Mousiegirl! Yes, the main stem does get amazingly large...but it has to...lol. The sunflowers that grow seeds get quite heavy. The one I posted pics of was over 7 lbs when I tied it up to the bird stake/holder...LOL

We used to have feeders for the winter birds where we put sunflower seeds out. We had the worls fattest squirrel because he was such a thief. He would torture our dog , doing things like tapping on the windows when she was home alone. She hated him so we named him Archie, short for Daisy's arch enemy.

Huge walnuts, huge squirrel, lol.  I posted pictures of my squirrels in My Perennials. They eat rose petals also, plucked a rose right off the bush and began eating it, lol.
