Anyone from here???
We are looking at neighborhoods; Meridian Kuna, Emmett, Marsing etc.
Probably not Eagle, too expensive.
I know in my areas there are distinct differences in areas.
What do you like/dislike about this general area? New 55 plus in Kuna opening next year.
We are trying to stay around 500k but as we all know $$ are crazy.
This is for 2 plus years but visiting for 2nd time in August.
Coming from So Cal (Idahoans dislike that)
Thanks for any suggestions

Lived out there for 2 1/2 yrs and after a while was looking to buy a home................we ended up going back east because of family issues.............but we loved Meridian and had we stayed we would have purchased there......houses seemed reasonable , nice neighborhoods and close to Boise if you wanted more action.............Eagle was really nice too...but like you said a bit expensive..................Good luck on your house hunting!!

Thanks for your info.
We are leaving family; tired of So Cal …
They can come visit. We will see how this goes as we are expecting our first grandchild. We want a different lifestyle. Our $$ can go farther in retirement elsewhere.

A family member lived in Moscow, ID for a number of years.  It's a university town, University of Idaho is there.

I believe we are in a sellers market again so prices are up.  I hope you find your home.

My son just moved to Meridan. The Boise area is exploding with growth. Housing is expensive. There is talk of water rationing coming. They have already had threats of rolling brownouts. The infrastructure needs to catch-up to the growth.

Traveler your right; that’s a concern with a city not ready for growth and so fast ( last 5 yrs but especially last 2)

@Another new name Sue    the town itself is usually very nice when the University is in it.  Prices are lower too.

We used to live in Eagle. Loved it, our home was on the golf course.
Loved the downtown area in Boise, Julia Davis park and the Boise Co-op.

What I didn't like was the lack of shipping choices. Shopping online wasn't as popular as it is now, so if I couldn't find what I needed at the local store, I was out of luck.

Great medical care at St Luke's Hospital.

Deeva

can I ask how long ago did you live there? Meridian is next to eagle; there is a shopping village (mall) Costco  are in area. It has been growing .
Eagle is the most expensive area.
