I thought some of you might like to see a video of the new Solare candle type. The QVC item is H203038.

I saw those this morning and thought the price was right (although I did pause at the estimated battery life). Thanks for the link to see them in action.

Did you all notice the new luminara with the battery converter things so you can use AA batteries in them? I had not seen them before. Maybe I need to get out more.

I think those are new, but I can't imagine putting a smaller battery in the Luminara considering the short life they have with the regular D batteries.

I think I'd like the shape of these, around the top, a little better than the scooped front of the Luminaras. Hard to know unless I had them both at home, side by side.

On that note, there are several new burgundy Luminaras offered here that appear to have the more level scalloped top shape. Is it just me, or does anyone else notice it, too?

And on that note, I read that Luminara would be coming out with a candle with a 360 degree scalloped top. Hmmm...

The Solare battery life isn't great, but I like that it is only 3" wide. I hope the reviews are really good, because I'll bet this is a brand that will eventually show up in lots of places for less, like Pacific Accents has done.

I am tempted to buy one just to see how I like it, but I really, really don't need any more candles, unless Luminara introduces a true votive sized one.

Any thoughts now that it has been presented?

The presenter said that this candle has multiple hues of a little blue, a little white, and a little yellow. Looking at the ivory candle in the holder on the table, I only see a nice warm yellow color, similar to other flameless candles I have, but looking at the top rim of the one she is holding, I do see either white or blue-white. I think it could look really nice with the different hues, but in general I don't like blue-white or white-white LEDs in flameless items.

Do you think the flame tip is bigger than the one on Luminaras?

I think I'd like the smoother slower flame motion on this one.

I can't sleep so I decided to take a shot from the video to show the two ivory candles and how they appear to have different glow colors.

SHOPR, I just watched the QVC video and I honestly can't see any color variation. I decided to order one candle, just to see what it's all about. Once I have it, I'll come back and give a review.

Very interested in your opinion about the two candles.

I have yet to invest in Luminara. Still clinging to the CI flameless!

I bought two red, though thought they were expensive with shipping, as I havn't been able to find true red flameless candles.
