@Mominohio That stinks. The ones I ordered from Overstock are a heavy cotton; took many washings to soften them up but nothing shows through them, that's for sure.

Yeah, they're oversized. Tucking them still eaves lots of fabric and I have no idea how to make it look nice without using duct tape and pins.

Like you, however, it did show me that a cream and blue stripe looks really nice in one room, that a deep red looks great in the family room and I definitely need a washable fabric with my clan!

Hey, I will take older furniture made in the USA over what there is offered in stores right now. We have two end tables that were oak, but when we went with some new cherry furniture they didn't fit our decor. We took them outside and after many hours of stripping and sanding and staining they look beautiful. Furniture should be made to last. It's such an investment. We need a new sofa but that will have to wait and it will have to be something I absolutely love.

When we moved to Florida we gave away our very good quality plaid furniture and bought leather. Worst mistake we have ever made. Crummy furniture. My friend is cozy & comfy on my o,ld furniture and we are miserable on the new. Can't wait to get rid of it.

Spent almost three thousand on a sofa from Raymour and Flanagan. What a piece of junk! My sofa and loves seat from the 80's (brand name Sherril) is still as comfortable and structured as the day we bought it. Cat clawed the arms so it needs slipcovers. That will be next.
